About the Founder of National Tavern-Style Pizza Day
Home Run Inn has been a beloved institution in Chicago for over 75 years making this new National Day celebration founded on fourth-generation family experience one that will stand the test of time. Rooted in a legacy that began in the 1920s when Mary and Vincent Grittani opened their original tavern at the corner of 31st Street and Kildare Avenue.
