NATIONAL PRO-LIFE CUPCAKE DAY

On October 9, National Pro-Life Cupcake Day encourages open dialogue about an emotionally charged topic and an exchange of cupcakes to ease the conversation.

#ProLifeCupcakeDay

Pro-Life Cupcake Day is a sensitive topic people either never talk about or avoid talking about. Abortion is an extremely tough topic for everyone. Luckily, with days like today, we can help spread awareness in hopes of providing a neutral place to learn a bit about an emotionally charged topic. Supporters of this day use cupcakes as a way to sweeten a conversation on a difficult subject.

Cupcakes symbolize life, joy, and celebration, making them a fitting metaphor for the value of human life. Organizers of National Pro-Life Cupcake Day encourage baking cupcakes and giving them to friends, family and even strangers. While not everyone will agree, conversations may be started. Some may prefer not to participate at all, while others still will join in the conversation, even though they disagree.

HOW TO OBSERVE  PRO-LIFE CUPCAKE DAY

Here is how you can participate in Pro-Life Cupcake Day:

  1. Promote dialogue by encouraging an open and respectful conversation about abortion. Your beliefs may differ, but learning to be respectful to everyone is important.

  2. Educate people about your pro-life position by raising awareness using factual information. Keeping emotions out of conversations always has a better outcome.

  3. If you are pro-life, support this cause by bringing your community together without animosity or anger.

  4. Make a cupcake and strike up a conversation and use the hashtag  #ProLifeCupcakeDay to show your support.
