LEAVE THE OFFICE EARLY DAY

Mark your calendars because June 2 is National Leave the Office Early Day. This quirky National Day is intended to be an incentive to those who often work more than 40 hours each week. We are reminding you to take a little time for yourself every once in a while.

#LEAVETHEOFFICEEARLYDAY

About a third of Americans work more than 40 hours per week. Some work even more than that. Those who are self-employed or who work two jobs, likely work 60-80 hours per week. Those types of hours don't leave much for family, self-care, or home maintenance. Stress piles up and so do the phone calls from mom, the grandkids, and maybe the gym wondering where you've been. It's time to get yourself away from your desk and make the most of your time.

LEAVE THE OFFICE EARLY DAY IDEAS

  1. Go to that you've been want to see.

  2. Catch up on shopping.

  3. Read a book.

  4. Take a nap.

  5. Spend time outside by going for a nature walk.

  6. Meet your friends at a restaurant and catch up on their lives.

  7.  Share your adventures on social media using the hashtag #LeaveTheOfficeEarlyDay.

We're not encouraging people to ditch responsibilities from work. We're simply recommending you take some time for yourself if you can. If you are able to get away, make the most of your time and enjoy every moment.
