National Day Calendar and the Can-Am Off-Road brand began working together in 2021 to establish International Off-Road Day on October 8. From 2021 through 2023, this International Day was celebrated on October 8. However, fans of off-roading submitted a request to change the date to the first Saturday in October.

Beginning in 2024, International Off-Road Day will be celebrated on the first Saturday in October. The Can-Am Off-Road brand supports it's fans who have passion for off-roading and decided the day could be better celebrated on a weekend.
